Economic Laws Practice (ELP) is hiring an Associate for its Energy, Infrastructure & Electricity Regulatory Practice in Mumbai.
Eligibility
• 1–3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Strong and current knowledge of electricity laws.
• Strong understanding of corporate laws.
• Relevant experience in energy, infrastructure, regulatory, or commercial legal matters preferred.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
Position details
• Position: Associate – Energy, Infrastructure & Electricity Regulatory Practice
• Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Review Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Shareholders Agreements.
• File and appear before Electricity Regulatory Commissions, High Courts, and the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity.
• Handle electricity law disputes and regulatory proceedings.
• Review infrastructure contracts, including government tender documents and EPC Agreements.
• Work on Public Private Partnership (PPP) Concession Agreements and FIDIC contracts.
• Assist with legal research and analysis relating to energy and infrastructure matters.
• Support preparation of due diligence reports for M&A transactions.
• Assist senior team members with regulatory and transactional assignments.
