Manipal University Jaipur is inviting teams to register for the National Legal Hackathon 2026, a two-day overnight event combining legal knowledge, technology and creative problem-solving to address real-world challenges in consumer protection.
About the Organisers
Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) was launched in 2011 on an invitation from the Government of Rajasthan as a self-financed State University. It is a multidisciplinary university offering career-oriented programmes at the UG, PG and Ph.D. levels across fields including Law, Engineering, Architecture, Fashion Design, Hospitality, Journalism and Mass Communication, Commerce, Computer Applications and Management. It also provides research-oriented programmes, state-of-the-art research facilities and a modern digital library.
Eligibility
• Each team will consist of 3 members
• At least 1 Law/Legal Studies student, to contribute legal research and analysis, particularly relating to consumer protection laws and regulations
• At least 1 Technology/Technical student, to contribute to the technological, coding or development aspects of the proposed solution
• 1 member from any academic discipline, as the third member is not restricted to Law, B.Tech or any particular stream
• The interdisciplinary structure is intended to bring together legal expertise, technological capabilities and diverse perspectives
Event details
• The hackathon gives participants a platform to combine legal knowledge, technological skills and creative problem-solving
• The theme/problem statement will be unveiled on the day of the competition itself
• Teams will analyse the given legal and technological challenge, develop a solution and present it before the jury
• Participants gain practical exposure through an interdisciplinary Law × Technology × Innovation experience
