Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College, Mangaluru is inviting law students across India to submit papers on the theme “Law in a Changing World” for Volume VII (2026) of its flagship student journal, LEX PLUS Student Law Review.
About the Organisers
Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College, Centre for Post-Graduate Studies and Research in Law, Mangaluru (SDMLC) is a premier legal institution in Karnataka. It is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi and recognised by the Bar Council of India. The college was established in 1974 under the presidentship of Padmavibhushan Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade. LEX PLUS Student Law Review is its flagship peer-reviewed student journal, which aims to build research and academic writing skills among law students. The journal has published six volumes so far, and all manuscripts go through editorial screening followed by blind peer review before publication.
Eligibility
- Open to all law students (UG and PG) enrolled in recognised law schools/universities in India
- Co-authorship is allowed, with a maximum of 2 authors per submission
- Authors must ensure originality, plagiarism compliance and any necessary permissions
Submission guidelines
- Theme: Law in a Changing World, which encourages research on how legal systems respond to change and how legal principles develop in an evolving world
- Sub-themes: Consumer Law, Corporate Law, International Law, Legal Education, Technology & Law, and Artificial Intelligence & Law
- Categories: Short Articles (2,000 to 3,000 words), Long Articles (3,000 to 5,000 words), Case Comments (1,000 to 1,500 words) and Book Reviews (750 to 1,000 words)
- Language: English
- Abstract: Up to 250 words
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12 for text and size 10 for footnotes
- Spacing: 1.5 for text and single spacing for footnotes
- Citation style: Indian Law Institute (ILI) style
- Headings: Numbered, with bold/italics as per heading levels
- Manuscripts must be in MS Word format only, and PDFs are not accepted
- A cover letter must include the author’s name, college, class, email ID and phone number
- All submissions undergo editorial screening and blind peer review
