Abhivyakti 1.0 is an Asian Parliamentary Debate competition organised by the Literary & Debating Society of the Integrated Law Course, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
Eligibility
• Open to students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate courses at any institution or discipline
• No restriction on the number of teams per institution
• Cross-institutional teams are permitted
• Each team must have exactly three members corresponding to their designated parliamentary roles
Competition details
• Format: Asian Parliamentary Debate
• Each team will consist of three speakers
• Government: Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Government Whip
• Opposition: Leader of Opposition, Deputy Leader of Opposition and Opposition Whip
• Total: 7 online rounds over two days
• Advanced Rounds: Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Finals, conducted on campus
• Each round will offer 3 motion choices, with teams opting out sequentially until one motion remains
• Only printed and prepared materials are permitted during preparation
• Use of electronic devices after motion release is prohibited
• Points of Information are permitted during substantive speeches between the first and sixth minutes
• Teams may compete with only two members once during the preliminary rounds under specified conditions
• Substantive Speech: 6+1 minutes
• Reply Speech: 3+1 minutes

• Online Preliminary Rounds: 10–11 September 2026
• Advanced On-Campus Rounds: 23–24 September 2026
• Mode: Online, followed by on-campus advanced rounds
• Registration Fee for non-DU teams: INR 590 per person, inclusive of GST
• Registration Fee for DU teams: INR 500 per person, inclusive of GST
• Optional accommodation: Additional INR 1,000 per person for outstation debaters, subject to availability
• All payments must be made through UPI or NEFT, with the UTR/Transaction ID uploaded in the registration form

• Best Speaker: INR 10,000
• Runner-up Speaker: INR 7,500
• Best Adjudicator: INR 10,000
• Runner-up Adjudicator: INR 7,500
• Best Novice Speaker: INR 5,000
• Best Subsidised Adjudicator: INR 5,000
• Total Prize Pool: INR 70,000
