Aditya Birla Capital Limited is inviting applications for the position of Legal Counsel in its Legal – Non Litigation function to provide legal and regulatory support to its Gold Loan business in Mumbai.
Eligibility
• Bachelor of Law (LL.B.).
• 4–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience in arbitration, commercial litigation, corporate governance, banking law, contract law, employment law, dispute resolution, due diligence, corporate law, and litigation.
Position details
• Provide day-to-day legal support to the Gold Loan business on operational, product, and strategic matters.
• Review and advise on gold loan products, processes, and customer journeys.
• Support branch operations, loan origination, disbursement, renewals, auction processes, and recovery matters.
• Identify legal risks and provide practical, business-oriented solutions.
• Draft, review, standardise, and negotiate gold loan agreements, pledge forms, and security documents.
• Review auction terms and conditions, vendor and service agreements, branch lease agreements, and empanelment contracts.
• Review customer communication templates.
• Advise on RBI regulations applicable to NBFCs.
• Provide guidance on Fair Practices Code, KYC/AML requirements, and customer grievance management.
• Advise on outsourcing guidelines, data privacy, and information security requirements.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting the Gold Loan business and support implementation of necessary changes.
• Assess legal implications of new products, processes, and initiatives.
• Review policies, SOPs, and operational manuals from a legal perspective.
• Support risk assessments and internal control reviews.
• Develop preventive legal risk mitigation measures.
