The Chanakya Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CCADR), Chanakya National Law University, Patna, invites abstract submissions for the inaugural volume of the CCADR Journal for Alternate Dispute Resolution.
Eligibility
• Students, academicians, practitioners, researchers and legal professionals may submit.
• Submissions may be made individually or in co-authorship, with a maximum of two authors.
• Contributions must engage substantively with mediation, arbitration or related areas of dispute resolution.
• Submissions should offer original, insightful and academically rigorous perspectives.
Guidelines
• Theme: “Navigating the Expanding Role of Mediation and Arbitration in Dispute Resolution.”
• Sub-themes include International Commercial Arbitration, Investment Arbitration, Finality of Awards, Policy and Regulatory Developments in Mediation, and Technology, AI and Online Dispute Resolution.
• Long Articles: 6,000–8,000 words.
• Short Articles: 3,000–6,000 words.
• Case Comments / Book Reviews: 1,500–2,000 words, exclusive of footnotes.
• Manuscripts must be in English and submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.
• An abstract of 250–500 words in italics along with 5 keywords must be included.
• Manuscripts must follow the Bluebook 21st edition.
• Manuscripts must not contain the author’s name, affiliation or credentials; these must be provided on a separate cover page.
• Maximum of two authors per submission.
• The acceptable plagiarism limit is 15%, excluding citations.
• The acceptable AI usage limit is 10%.
Submission details
• Main text: Times New Roman, size 12, justified alignment and 1.15 line spacing.
• Footnotes: Times New Roman, size 10, left alignment and 1.15 line spacing.
• Page size: A4 with 2.54 cm margins on all sides.
• Page numbers: Bottom centre, Times New Roman, size 11.
• Headings must follow a hierarchical structure using Roman numerals, capital letters and lower-case Roman numerals.
• Hyperlinks and citations must be functional and verified at the time of submission.
• The Journal follows a double-blind peer-review process and a three-tier editorial review process.
• Notification of Abstract Acceptance: October 25, 2026.
• Final Manuscript Submission: November 30, 2026.
• Tentative Publication: March 2027.
