IIMT College of Law, Greater Noida is organising the 3rd National Level Moot Court Competition for students pursuing three-year and five-year LL.B. programmes.
About the Organization
IIMT College of Law, situated at Knowledge Park III, Greater Noida, is affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. The College offers B.A. LL.B. and LL.B. programmes with a focus on academic excellence, professional development, practical legal training and ethical values.
Eligibility
- The competition is open to bona fide students pursuing three-year or five-year LL.B. programmes.
- Each team shall comprise three members: two Mooters and one Researcher.
- Each Law College/University may register only one team.
- The competition shall be conducted in English or Hindi.
- Participants must not disclose the identity of their institution during the proceedings. Violation may attract penalties, including disqualification.
- A unique Team Code shall be allotted through the registration confirmation email.
- Each team shall receive 15 minutes in total for oral submissions by both Mooters, followed by 5 minutes for rebuttal.
Competition details
- The competition is organised under the aegis of IQAC and Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5, 10 and 16.
- The competition is supported by the District Legal Services Authority, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
- Jaggi, Jaggi & Jaggi is the Official Knowledge Partner.
- The competition aims to provide practical exposure to the Indian judicial system and courtroom proceedings.
- Participants will develop skills in advocacy, legal research, drafting, critical thinking, oral argumentation, articulation and professional courtroom conduct.
Moot Proposition
- Title: “Women’s Rights Commission v. State of Aryavarta & Anr.”
- The proposition concerns issues relating to prenuptial agreements, matrimonial autonomy, gender inequality, domestic violence, self-defence, grave and sudden provocation, criminal responsibility, mitigating circumstances, and constitutional and legal considerations surrounding the imposition of the death penalty.
Registration Fee
- Registration fee: Rs. 2,100/- per team.
- The registration form must be completed online with complete team details.
- A screenshot of the payment must be uploaded with the registration form.
- No change in the names of participants shall be permitted after submission of the Registration Form.

- Winner Team: Rs. 21,000/- along with Winner Trophy and Gift.
- Runner-Up Team: Rs. 15,000/- along with Runner-Up Trophy and Gift.
- Best Researcher: Rs. 5,100/- and Gift.
- Best Mooter: Rs. 5,100/- and Gift.
- Best Memorial: Rs. 5,100/- and Gift.
- Moot Court Warriors: Medal and Gift.
- Certificate of Participation will be provided to all participants.
- The brochure announces attractive prizes up to Rs. 1,01,001/-.

- Draw of Lots for Preliminary Rounds: 29 October 2026.
- Researcher’s Test: 29 October 2026.
- Preliminary Round and Quarter-Final: 29 October 2026.
- Semi-Final, Final Round and Valedictory Function: 30 October 2026.
- Reporting Time: 9:00 AM on the day of the event.
Memorial submission
- Soft copies of memorials for both sides must be submitted by 11:59 PM IST on 22 October 2026.
- Memorials must be submitted in both PDF and DOC/DOCX formats.
