Call for Papers for Volume 5 Issue 2 of MAGLAW Law Journal, Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Eligibility
• Law students and authors interested in the specified themes
• Co-authorship is permitted, with a maximum of two authors per paper
• Student authors may not co-author with professionals
• Manuscripts must be original and submitted exclusively to MAGLAW
• AI-assisted writing tools are strictly prohibited
• AI similarity index must not exceed 0%
Guidelines
• Themes include women-centric legislation, judicial reforms, AI and technology in the legal sphere, access to justice, specialised adjudication and personality rights
• Authors may select one theme and one subsequent sub-theme
• Abstract of not more than 200 words with five keywords
• Abstract submission must include a cover letter and self-declaration/undertaking in the prescribed format
• Only selected abstracts will proceed to the manuscript stage
• Selected authors will have one month from intimation to submit the complete manuscript
• Manuscripts must maintain strict anonymity
• Originality and AI Reports generated via Turnitin must be submitted
• Manuscripts must not be published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere
• Submissions must be made exclusively through the Open Journal System (OJS)
Submission details
• Research Papers: 3,000–6,000 words
• Case Notes: 2,500–3,000 words
• Legal Opinion: 1,500–2,000 words
• Word limit is exclusive of footnotes and includes the abstract
• Abstract Submission Deadline: 30 August 2026 by 11:50 PM
• Manuscript Submission: 30 days after declaration of abstract results
• Revision Period: 4 days where revisions are required
• Citation Style: ILI Footnoting
• Font: Times New Roman
• Language: British English
• Main Body & Headings: 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing
• Footnotes: 10 pt, single spacing
• Page Margins: 1 inch on all sides
