Salot & Shah Associates is hiring a Data Privacy Specialist to work on data privacy and compliance under relevant regulations, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA).
Eligibility
• Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree preferred.
• Certification such as CIPM/CIPP is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of privacy regulations and data privacy frameworks, including the DPDPA or equivalent laws.
• Experience in privacy compliance activities such as risk assessments, audits, and implementation of privacy controls is preferred.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with legal, technical, and business teams.
Position Details
• Interpret and apply privacy laws and the DPDPA.
• Draft and review privacy policies, notices, and related documentation.
• Advise internal stakeholders and clients on compliance requirements.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and map data flows.
• Monitor adherence to privacy controls.
• Support the development of privacy frameworks, procedures, and documentation.
• Address data subject requests and manage incidents or potential breaches.
• Deliver privacy training and contribute to privacy governance.
• Assess data flows, identify privacy risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
