Saveetha School of Law is organising the Bail Application Drafting Competition as part of Law Fest 2026 on 17 September 2026 in online mode.
Eligibility
- Students pursuing the 3-Year LL.B. Course or 5-Year Integrated Law Course from any recognised law college/university.
- Participation is individual only.
Competition Details
- Theme: “Draft With Purpose. Argue For Liberty.”
- Mode: Online.
- Participants will receive a factual criminal law proposition on the date of the competition.
- Participants must draft a Regular Bail Application or Anticipatory Bail Application as specified in the proposition.
- Draft must include the cause title, relevant provisions of law, facts of the case, grounds for bail, prayer clause, and verification, if applicable.
- Maximum length: 5 pages, excluding the cover page.
- Draft language: English only.
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
- Line spacing: 1.5.
- File format: PDF.
Job details
- Registration Fee: ₹300 per individual participant.
- Release of Proposition/Problem: 17 September 2026 at 10:00 AM.
- Last Date for Submission: 17 September 2026 at 4:00 PM.
- Result Announcement: 17 September 2026 at 7:00 PM.
- Winner: ₹2,000 cash prize + Certificate of Merit.
- E-certificates will be provided to participants who submit valid entries.
- Evaluation will be based on knowledge of law, legal reasoning, drafting skills, clarity, professionalism, originality, and research.
