NITI Aayog, the Government of India’s apex public policy think tank, is inviting applications from students and research scholars for its Internship Scheme.
Eligibility
• Bonafide students of any recognised university or institution in India or abroad are eligible to apply
• UG students must have completed or appeared in the term-end examinations of the 2nd year/4th semester of their bachelor’s degree and secured at least 85% or equivalent marks in Class 12
• Graduate students must have completed or appeared in the term-end examinations of the 1st year/2nd semester of their postgraduate programme or be pursuing research/Ph.D. and secured at least 70% or equivalent marks in graduation
• Students who have appeared for their final examination or recently completed graduation/postgraduation and are awaiting admission for higher studies may also be considered, provided they have secured at least 70% cumulative marks in all years/semesters completed till the date of application
• The period between declaration of the final examination result and the desired month of internship must not exceed 6 months
• A candidate may apply for an internship only once during a financial year
Internship details
• Duration: Minimum 6 weeks and maximum 6 months
• Applicants must clearly indicate their area of interest
• Applications can be made up to 6 months in advance but not later than 2 months before the desired month of internship
• Selected candidates must produce original mark sheets and a No Objection Certificate from their college/institution at the time of joining
• Failure to produce the required documents may result in cancellation of candidature
