Boyes Turner is hiring a Paralegal – Property Development in Reading, England, United Kingdom.
Eligibility
- Law degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification
- Candidates with practical legal experience gained through a paralegal role, legal assistant position, placement year, vacation scheme, legal clinic or similar environment may apply
- Experience within a property, real estate or development team is preferred
- Genuine interest in property development, real estate and house building
- Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Commercial awareness and pragmatism
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Position details
- Assist fee earners on property development and house building transactions
- Draft legal correspondence, documents and completion statements
- Prepare and submit Land Registry and SDLT applications
- Conduct legal research and assist with due diligence exercises
- Liaise with clients, solicitors, lenders and other third parties
- Manage document bundles and maintain accurate electronic and paper files
- Assist with post-completion matters
- Support diary management, meeting coordination and general matter administration, including file openings, compliance and AML procedures
