Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan (LKS) was founded in 1985 by Mr. V. Lakshmikumaran and Mr. V. Sridharan. It is a law firm specialising in taxation, intellectual property rights, corporate law, litigation and several other areas.

The firm has offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune and Kolkata, with a team comprising lawyers, postgraduates and professionals from diverse fields.

Eligibility

• Students who have entered the 4th or 5th year of a 5-year law course.
• Students who have entered the 2nd or 3rd year of a 3-year law course.

Internship Details

• The internship is designed to provide law students with practical exposure to professional legal work.
• Interns are given real responsibilities to help them understand the nature of work undertaken by legal professionals.
• Each intern is assigned a professional at LKS as a mentor.
• The mentor guides the intern, assists with queries and oversees the intern’s learning and development.
• Minimum internship duration: 4 weeks.
• The internship may be undertaken at LKS offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune or Kolkata.

End-of-Internship Presentation

• Every intern is required to make a presentation at the end of the internship.
• The topic is decided by the assigned mentor.
• The presentation is intended to encourage research, analytical thinking and creative approaches to legal issues.
• The presentation is made before fellow interns and professionals at LKS, who evaluate the intern’s performance.
• According to LKS, the quality of the presentation may also serve as a benchmark when considering an intern’s application for an associate position at the firm.
