HSBC is hiring an Assistant Legal Counsel for its Market Securities Services (MSS) – Corporate & Investment Banking team in Bangalore.
Eligibility
• Law degree from a recognised Indian or overseas university.
• 2 years of experience involving drafting or vetting agreements and contracts.
• Proven agreement and contract drafting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of Global Markets business and products.
• Awareness of simple and complex deal structures.
• Understanding of Common Law, particularly UK law.
Position details
• Negotiate and execute traded market documentation, including ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, Custody Agreements, GMRAs, GMSLAs, guarantees, and other industry-standard documents.
• Conduct legal and analytical research.
• Review counterparty constitutional documents and jurisdictional requirements.
• Manage assigned matters through completion.
• Coordinate with Corporate & Investment Banking teams and other stakeholders.
• Ensure documentation provides appropriate legal and credit protection for HSBC.
