The Trial and Appellate Advocacy Society, KIIT School of Law, is organising the 8th KIIT Mock Trial Competition, 2026, a national-level trial advocacy competition.
Eligibility
• Students pursuing 3-Year LL.B. or 5-Year Integrated LL.B. programmes from BCI-approved institutions across India
• Each team must consist of 3 members, comprising 2 Speakers and 1 Researcher
Competition details
• The competition will be conducted entirely in physical mode at KIIT School of Law, Bhubaneswar
• The competition will test participants on procedural law, legal research, witness examination and cross-examination, evidentiary handling, case preparation, memorial drafting and persuasive oral advocacy
• 30 teams will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis
• Maximum of two teams are permitted per institution
• The Organising Committee will provide witnesses
• 30 October 2026: Inauguration, Draw of Lots and Researcher’s Test
• 31 October 2026: Preliminary Rounds and Quarter-Finals
• 1 November 2026: Semi-Finals, Finals, Valedictory Ceremony and Prize Distribution

• 2nd Runner-Up: ₹25,000 + Trophy + Merit Certificates
• Best Researcher: ₹10,000 + Trophy + Merit Certificate
• Best Advocate: ₹10,000 + Trophy + Merit Certificate
• Best Memorial: ₹10,000 + Trophy + Merit Certificates
• Best Witness: ₹10,000 + Trophy + Merit Certificate
• Participation certificates will be provided to all participants
• Provisional Registration Deadline: 20 September 2026
• Final Registration Deadline: 30 September 2026
• Last Date for Clarifications: 2 October 2026
• Release of Clarifications: 12 October 2026
• Memorial Submission Deadline: 24 October 2026
