The Moot Court Society of KIIT School of Law is organising the II KIIT International Moot Court Competition, 2026, focusing on international commercial arbitration and documentary credits.

Eligibility

• Students enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year law degree programme, or a comparable graduate programme in law

• Participants must represent a recognised and accredited institution where they are enrolled

• Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 members

• Each team may comprise a maximum of 2 speakers and 1 researcher

Competition details

• The moot proposition is based on international commercial arbitration and documentary credits

• The dispute involves an ICC arbitration arising from a credit transaction governed by UCP 600

• The proposition addresses issues concerning the jurisdiction of the arbitral tribunal, applicability of the arbitration agreement to multiple parties, incorporation and interpretation of UCP 600, and obligations arising from documentary credits

• The competition will cover international arbitration, banking law, documentary credits, sanctions and international commercial law

• Preliminary Rounds will be conducted online

• Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final Round will form part of the Offline Advanced Rounds
